One destination, several different travel days

Wilmington combines a downtown riverfront with access to Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Wrightsville Beach. A group staying near one part of the area may spend another day somewhere quite different. Before choosing a van, map the shared portions of the visit: accommodation, meetings, meals, beach outings and the final departure.

Keep a practical distinction between the passenger journey and the rental handover. CHS lists Wilmington among its service markets, but your request still needs an agreed pickup location, date, time and return plan. This page does not represent a Wilmington branch address or promise delivery to a hotel, airport or beach accommodation.

Pack for the longest day, not the shortest drive

For a beach stay, luggage is rarely limited to one small bag per person. Tell CHS about coolers, folded chairs, children's equipment and any other bulky items you intend to carry. They take space even when they are light. Plan how wet or sandy belongings will be contained, and ask about the rental's applicable use and cleaning terms.

A short journey between activities can have a different load from the arrival journey. The most useful vehicle request describes the busiest combination of people and belongings. Our guide to choosing a passenger van explains how to assess that combination before selecting a preferred model.

Compare the actual cabin and cargo photographs

CHS features Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit passenger vans, including a white Transit option . Published configurations accommodate up to 15 passengers; exact seating, storage and the assigned vehicle must be confirmed for your booking.

Open the interior and cargo photographs rather than choosing on color alone. Discuss access needs, the amount of luggage and the passengers who will use the vehicle each day. If your group is considering more than one van, explain whether the vehicles will follow the same schedule or operate on separate plans.

For working crews, separate people from equipment needs

A production schedule needs more detail than a general sightseeing request. Give the team the intended production base, first required vehicle time, anticipated return date and the person coordinating changes. Identify which trips are for passengers and which involve equipment. A passenger rental should never be assumed to have a particular cargo configuration without confirmation.

Keep your most important commitments visible: early starts, a fixed location day or a final handover after the crew has finished. Ask about any uncertain arrangements before the schedule is distributed. Visit CHS film and production rentals for the information that helps begin a production rental discussion.

Share a clear Wilmington itinerary

  • Where the group will stay and the main destinations it will visit.
  • Requested pickup and return dates with times.
  • Peak passenger count and the luggage or equipment load.
  • Preferred van type, access questions and the named rental contact.
  • Any change in plans between arrival, activity days and departure.

If guests arrive on different days, state that in the request. You may need a vehicle for a longer period than the main event itself. If the visit continues to Myrtle Beach or another market, include the whole itinerary so the rental terms and return arrangements can be discussed together.

Keep destination plans and rental confirmation aligned

The official Wilmington and Beaches visitor site offers maps, parking information and separate guides for the surrounding beach communities. Check those and your accommodation's instructions when planning where the van can wait. Event admission, parking and rental availability are separate arrangements; confirming one does not confirm the others.

Request a Wilmington rental quote with the details you have. The CHS team will need to confirm suitability, availability, pickup and the rental terms before a reservation is final. For destination research, use the official Wilmington and Beaches guide .
